Miller Residence

A complete remodeling of a basement to an end of terrace Notting Hill house. The concept was to create a large, open-plan, loft-style space that related and worked with the existing house above. The design creates a large open volume where the multifarious activities of, cooking, dining, relaxing and work take place. A wall of glass 7m in height looks onto the secluded rear garden, with the atrium rising to the drawing room on the floor above. The kitchen becomes the centre piece of this new space.

Internal walls were removed to create a room 17 meters long, that incorporates an office, a sitting area with integrated home cinema, and at the other end of the space beyond the kitchen a dining area.

The dining table, office desk and cinema were all designed and built bespoke for the client.

Since completion we have redesigned the other floors of this 5 storey dwelling.
